The transformer winding deformation tester has two testing methods: frequency response method and low voltage short-circuit impedance method. Two different methods are used to measure the power transformer winding, comprehensively reflecting the winding characteristics of the transformer, and more accurately analyzing and diagnosing the winding deformation situation. The perfect combination of frequency response method and impedance method saves testing time and improves work efficiency.
Transformer winding deformation tester (frequency response method) is used to test power transformers with voltage levels of 66kV and above, as well as other special purpose transformers. During operation or transportation, it is inevitable to suffer from various faults, short-circuit currents, or physical impacts. Under the strong electric force generated by short-circuit current, the transformer winding may lose stability, leading to permanent deformation phenomena such as local distortion, bulging, or displacement, which will seriously affect the safe operation of the transformer.
This instrument adopts the frequency response analysis method to measure the winding deformation of transformers according to the national power industry standard DL/T911-2016 and the international electrical standard IEC60076-18. It detects the amplitude frequency response characteristics of each winding of the transformer and compares the detection results vertically or horizontally. Based on the degree of change in amplitude frequency response characteristics, it determines the possible deformation of the transformer winding.
Transformer winding deformation tester (low voltage impedance method) is an intelligent instrument specifically used for measuring the impedance characteristics of large and medium-sized transformers. Article 15.2 of the document [2000] No. 589 "Twenty five Key Requirements for Preventing Major Accidents in Electric Power Production" issued by State Power Corporation of China stipulates that "transformers of 110KV and above voltage levels shall be subject to low-voltage short-circuit impedance test or frequency response method to test winding deformation before leaving the factory and putting into production to keep original records." Article 15.6 stipulates that: After a transformer experiences a sudden short circuit in the near area, it should undergo a low voltage short circuit impedance test or use the frequency response method to test the winding deformation, and compare it with the original records to determine that the transformer has no faults before it can be put into operation. The low voltage short circuit impedance test can accurately reflect the changes in the impedance value of the transformer before and after the winding deformation.
The internal testing instrument adopts high-precision synchronous AC sampling and FFT digital signal processing technologies for voltage and current, ensuring accurate and stable measurement data. The instrument adopts three-phase automatic measurement or single-phase measurement methods, reliably shorting the low-voltage side, inputting transformer parameters, and then the instrument can automatically test and calculate the impedance of each phase and the percentage of impedance error. The voltage and current waveforms displayed during the testing process are more suitable for on-site use.
This system consists of a measurement section and an analysis software section. The analysis section is completed by a laptop, and the measurement section is connected to the laptop through a USB cable.
